For any of you travelling for the first time to Amsterdam, be aware that it is quite expensive and that the rooms are small, if not cramped. My single room at €100 per night plus taxes was a single bed, with private bathroom, closet, tv, free internet, table/desk and chair. The space was not larger than 10’ x 7’.
